I am thinking of purchasing this desk top from FutureShop
it's HP AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ Dual Core 2.2GHz Media Center Desktop The HP M7334N is equipped with an AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ Dual Core Processor, 1GB DDR memory, 250GB SATA Hard Drive, ATI Radeon Xpress 200 graphics with 256MB shared video memory and TV tuner with VGA out.
is this grafix card good enough for games (now & future) ?

absolutely not. the video card will not be good enough for most games now.

the rest is fine. you'll probably need a 7900gt video card or a x1900xt if you want ati.

actually that integrated card is good for warcraft3 on high detail. you are out of luck for first person shooter games, racing games..... etc

probelm is if he gets the comp and the mobo doesnt support that vid card. Do you need a new comp now(i doubt it if it's for games), since you might want to wait until the new video cards come out dx10. Also you might want to build your own when the price drops since you might want to get a better processor and ram. Just a few thoughts.

I checked the systems specs, I don't think you can even put another video card in there since theres no expansion slots except 1x PCi not PCi-E

I thought the specs stated that no Pci-E slot available because the ATI Radeon Xpress 200 card is in that slot. I may be wrong thou but doesn't matter since I have decided to pass on this desktop. Thanks for the reply.

the video card should be integrated, since it's shared memory. so it should'nt take up any slots. I don't know what mb u hv but others have suggested that it doesn't have a pci-e slot.
