My uncle's been thinking about picking up a laptop. I wanted to know if there's a large difference between these two processors.

The 390 seems to be on a larger process size of 90nm with a FSB of 400mhz and runs at 1.7ghz.

The 410 is on a 65nm process with a FSB of 533mhz but only runs at 1.46ghz.

I can't decide whether the increase in FSB of the 410 outways the 200mhz difference in clock speed.

My honest answer to you is: at Celeron level, it does not matter. I'd pick the 410 just for the lower heat.

Same .. your never going to notice the difference ... if it's in the budget a Core Duo laptop would be a lot faster, with the same or even less heat ;)

Another thing is that the 410 will probably drain your battery more slowly.
