With MS Vista (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MS_Vista) and HDMI (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HDMI) & HDCP (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HDCP) on the way in the near future is this a good time to start selling non-compatible computer gear.

I would say so, but keep in mind that HDCP for B-R and HD-DVD, won't be enforce for HDTVs until 2011, mostly becuase both X360 and PS3 (base model) arn't HDCP compatible .. so you got a while until i think it really matters. Also are you really going to be watch HD-DVDs or B-R disc on your computer screen ? ... little small don't you think ? :D

I am one of those guys who recycles computer product every 18 months before the warranty is up, to co-works and friends.

What I am trying to avoid is "since it is not vista compatible I will give you $300" when I am asking $800 for a 8 month old laptop or "is this a HDMI monitor". It seems the majority of people don't know what they are talking about! But will start to hear about MS Vista and HDMI this September when retails start pushing new products. Thus I don't what to take a big hit when I try to recycle one year old gear.
