I've just aquired a new place of residence... It has no appliances or TV yet, but I've already ordered Digital Cable. I noticed the third party Cable TV installer has left the G-Trap (Filter) on the cable line. I'm guessing this is to block Analogue channels 2-71. since I have digital cable on the account, will the digital cable still work, i dont care even if it ignores the analog teir channels (800 range) I will be happy if digital works. or will it have problem communicationg back to the cable tv network with the line filter on the line? I also requested rogers yahoo internet, but the install hasnt come in to install that yet but if internet will work with a filter, i dont see how digital cable will not?

in my area, rogers no longer uses a filter to take out the cable analog stations.
I don't have cable but have internet.
no filter. it's done via software switch at head office.
