So my brother wants me to get him an LCD Monitor 19" minimum 8ms for his bday...I don't know anything about this stuff. Could you guys recommend one at a decent price? Definetly under $300 (hopefully after tax). Also, do you know of any deals going on or the best place to buy one.
Thanks!

Just about time for Dell to come out with their 10 days of deals. 'If' you can wait a bit that would be a good time to buy.

Samsungs are usually pretty good. How about the 920N for $278...

I agree it looks like a good deal, 8ms and 3 year warranty and a brand name you can trust:)

If you look around for local computer dealers, you should be able to find it for cheaper. If you're in the Toronto area for example, it's almost $30 dollars cheaper at CanadaComputers (not even a sale price like FS is):

ok..that looks good. I'll double check about it with my parents. Are there any more that are a little less expensive but still good? Out of a scale from 1 to 10 (ten being best) i'm willing to go as low as 7. Is samsung a 7 or higher relative to the others?

I think Acers 1916w 19" Widescreen is one of the cheapest ones on the market. It's got pretty good reviews too. It was $205 at Canadacomputers 2 weeks ago, but price went back up. I was tempted to get one but pulled out >:( .

I don't tihnk he'd be shopping for a 19" WS though, wide aspect is not preferred for 19".

I recommend the Samsung 940B HAS monitor which is on sale at NCIX.com this week for $258.99. It is 8 ms speed plus it is HAS - Height Adjustable and can swivel into portrait or landscape mode. It also include the digital cable.
Because it is height adjustable, you don't need to put books under it to get to right height.
