My parents are internet illiterate on the most part, and I'm trying to set up an account somewhere for them to upload their photos in a way for others to view their pictures, instead of them going through the difficulty of uploading attachments to emails.
What is the best easy-to-use and free online photo album out there?
Thanks,
Marco

Just looking around, www.photosite.com looks really easy to use but there is a cost involved.
Any thoughts?
I'm all out of ideas.

Do they have server space available through their ISP? If they have server space with PHP support, setup one of the freeware photo albums on there.

If you have gmail. You can install Picasa and ask for an invite to their new PhotoSharing service (http://www.internetnews.com/ec-news/article.php/3613656). It came on line a couple of weeks or so ago.

As a matter of fact, my parents have been using Picasa until now but they don't have the option of uploading photos.
Can you please send me an invitation?
I'd appreciate it greatly.

It's an invite-only test, sign up and wait for an invite.

I've been a Flickr user for more a year and it's been very convenient. It's not free, but at $25 US/year, it's hardly expensive.

Too many limitations for the free version of Flickr... I can afford $25 :)

It's easy to upload to http://www.bubbleshare.com/ ... but I don't know what the pricing model will be after they come out of Beta mode.

FWIW, BubbleShare is Canadian as well (as was Flickr too, before they got consumed by Yahoo!)
There are so many (what appear to be flight-by-night) photo sharing sites out there. I ponied up the dough for Flickr so I know the site would be there tomorrow when I needed it.

Thanks a lot for all the help people.
I went with Yahoo Photos.
I found it to be really easy.
It's unlimited storage, and all they have to do is drag files from the computer to the browser and it's uploaded.
Thanks once again.
:)

Does anyone know a site that won't be blocked by the common filtering software installed at workplaces ?
I work for the government and i tried to access Yahoo Photos and Photobucket before and got blocked
I will be coming back home from a wedding trip in Korea and would like to share some pictures with my co-workers, online photo albums is probably the best way for me as opposed to burning them on CD or printing them out.
Thanks

have you tried accessing any of these sites through a proxy server or setting up remote desktop on your pc and do it that way?

I'd stick to Picasa by Google.

If you like to share your photo with others, I prefer flickr.com
