I was just wondering if its possible to use the "pay bills" feature from a bank's website to send money to an American credit card?
I want to send my fiancee some money to cover something for me, and the mail takes a while to go through. I know you can do it with a Canadian CC. But as I think about it, there might be a lag for the money to go through since it takes a week and a half for an American purchase to show up on a Canadian CC. Hmm.

I don't think so, because it won't show up in the companies section of your bank.
Now if it was a card that was issued by a US Based company it might work. For example MBNA exists both in US and Canada so you can try it, but you can't pay say Chase Mastercard/Visa cause it's US only.
I would still advise against trying to pay it online cause it may cause complications if the payment doesn't go through. Then there's the Foreign Exchange thing that will make things more confusing.

Nope. It is the one bill that I still have to pay using the old fashioned way.... writing a check and mailing it.
