I visited the Mississauga Canada Day celebration today and was shocked to see what appeared to be Scientology recruiters trying to recruit people.

They had this "Free Stress Test" table where these machines (http://moblog.co.uk/view.php?id=72223) "test" you for stress. The ones I saw looked a little more primitive with analogue meters and stuff. Their table was full of those Dianetics books and such,

Shocking. I hope they didn't recruit too many people. I really with this sort of thing didn't go on during public celebrations and events like Canada Day.

(For those who don't know, Scientology / Dianetics is a "religion" that many agree basically amounts to a pyramid scam whose pupose is to take every dollar you own and can borrow. Go and research it if you don't believe it.)

They've been renting a table at the 400 flea market if you can believe that.

They must be doing a major recruiting drive.

They have one of those machines are the War Museum. Way back 50+ years ago it was believed that this meter cauld be used to determine if someone was a homosexual.

The Scientologists often use these to determine the purity of their preachers/priests.

Hopefully, Xenu will return and come down and suck up all of them in his spacecraft and deposit them back into the volcanoes, from when they came.

I remember seeing a dianetic booth at the Dixie Flea market everytime I went. I haven't gone recently so I don't know if its still there.

Scientology booth is nothing.

Fa Lun Gong has been camped out at the Island ferry docks for several years now handing out propaganda. They've also set up permanent shelter in Vancouver and mayor there couldn't do anything about it.

This level of fanaticism and extremism is approaching that of the Crusaders & Talibans.

How long are they gonna be there? I think I'm gonna set up my own booth right next to them! The booth of course will just be a television showing reruns of that South Park Scientology episode featuring Tom Cruise and John Travolta.

Scientology, Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism.. same difference. It's all about believing in something that hasn't been proven true because it's written in some book that's supposedly holy..
