There were 2 specials last year to redeem 800 points for $1 lottery ticket. Does anyone know when the next one would be? I have a lot of points and waiting for it.

Does anyone know if double dipping works? Swipe Petro points cards at the pump and then pay with Petro citi-card to get the 2C off plus another set of points?

No, you'll need the Petro points card. the citi MC will add regular points to your PETRO POINTS ACCOUNT, which is associated with your petro points card. Make sense?

"If you’re a CitiTM Petro-Points MasterCard® cardholder, you’ll find your Petro-Points member number on your monthly statement. "

I put in the Petro-Points member number I found from my mastercard statement, but it didnt work. :(

i don't see where ur trying to get at... ur correct that the citi MC will add reg. pts to ur PP acct, but when u swipe the card the double PPs are automatically taken into acct.... i.e. u don't need ur PPs card.

not too sure about the PP MC as i don't have one....

Is there a French version of this link?
Does anyone know?

The last time, there were different versions of this link and it helped fellow RFDers get up to 12X the regular Petro points !

Alright, twice the petro points for overpriced long weekend gas! Hurrah!
I suppose it's a good deal if you're headed out of town, or inevitably need to fill up.
I will be filling up on Thursday, and will avoid filling up over the weekend, because gas will undoubtedly be over a buck.

Either way, I signed up just in case... ;-)

I was able to signup using the number from my statement, with an additional 0 appended to it, like a poster above mentioned.

Why would you do that ? The reward option for sears gift certificates is the best percentage / value.

It works out to only costing 500 points / dollar if you redeem 300,000 for $600 in sears certificates.

Don't forget if you don't want to use them for merchandise, you can also use them for travel/optical/photo/auto repair through sears.

Unless you have a Citi PP mastercard or a conversion from other sources, you will need to buy $30K worth of gas in order to accumulate 300K points

yes get a citibank mastercard...most of my pts are from credit card purchases...although i made a killing on pts (50K) from the 12x bonus trick last fall.

last month i transferred my 300K pts for $600 sear $ but it's a pain cause these are certificates and not gift cards....(diff is that you have to buy something in over $50 (in $50 intervals) to use it...since there can't be remaining balances on the certificates...anything over the $50 interval goes into your sears card...and you can't pay off your bal with certificates)

I accumulated 300K pts in 12 months...remember to try to put everything on your citi mastercard....car insurance, home insurance, licence fees, food, gas, bills, everything and you'll get those petropoints quick.

I tried both input places (top and lower), didint work.

for the top place, it can only accept 3 digits in last box.

Need to call CSR.
thanks!

lol! nice thinkin there!

i remember last time they were like 6 diff. ENG/FRE links and that gave some 1000 or 1100 bonus PPs for a $10 gas purchase :D

that's when i digged in and filled up at petro-can everytime and whenever i had a chance ... and earned some 20-30k bonus PPs :-0

that's why u try to buy gas at petro-can only when there's bonus pts offers in effect... :)

and also those citi-bank cheque promos for bonus PPs.

helps u get to the 300K pts that much faster :)

I am confused. Every time I just use my Citi Petro Points Mastercard to fill at Petro canada. Do I have to swipe the Petro membership card first, then swipe the master card to earn double points?
thx

bonus offers don't come around too often here (maybe 3 times a year).... when they do, they are usually for the 91 grade. my car only needs 87.

No, your petropoints card is already linked to the PP Mastercard, so when you swipe the PP MC it automatically "swipes" your PP Card at the same time.

I think if you try to use both, it will have the same result (no difference, except more effort involved swiping both cards).

You just need to register to get the double points.

no it's automatic... b/c the cards are linked.

u can basically trash ur PPs memb. card , .... well except for redemptions where u still prbly need it.

well, that's why u have other types of diff. reward CCs that u want to use as the "primary CC" to get the most value for spending... :)

i use the citi MC as a "2ndary CC"... i.e. most of the time i only use it when there's bonus pts promos at petro-can, or at participating partner rewards programs....

Btw, you can just use the pp master card to redeem the points.

well, i suspected so too... but wasn't too sure.

that must mean ur PPs memb. card is also linked to the PP MC just like how it can be linked to a citi MC.

thx4da headsup.

i've also been considering to get a PP MC just b/c they have a 10k bonus PPs offer... (long time ago, but still alive...)

I got the trick...

You have to key in (yes, not copy & paste) the membership card number from your statement due to their boxes are not 4,4,4,3 (but 4,5,4,3) combinations...damn!
and remember to add extro zero at the end.
hope it can help. :)

Did anybody read the not-so-fine print?

"Earn double Petro-Points* on every eligible purchase of $1 or more this Canada Day weekend."

Ouch, I don't know if I'd ever fill up more than a $1... so much gas!!! ;)

Thanks for the link! :) Have a great Canada Day!

Just a quick Question here.

Is the number on the PP card supposed to be the same as my PP Member Number found on my Citi PP MC Monthly Statement?

Cuz there are 16 digits on my PP card but 15 digits on my PP Member Number @_@

The numbers are basically the same...just that my PP card has that "2" as the 16th digit

Thanks
