whoops. well then, make sure to select air shipping instead of ground. you'll pay more for shipping, but you'll get your xbox faster AND you won't have to pay an extra brokerage fee since UPS only charges that on ground shipments.

You can also clear it yourself and avoid any service fees (aside from pst/gst of couse

One thing I noticed is that it doesn't tell you what any of the shipping rates are. Coming into Canada it might be a ball breaker.

how do you self clear? just call UPS and tell them, and then drive to the local canada custom bonded warehouse to clear it?

Working from memory here but I believe you tell the UPS person that you're not refusing the package but clearing it yourself. He'll give you a carbon copy of a form. You take that form to your local Revenue Canada office. There you'll pay the PST and GST then get a form which you take back to the UPS depot where they'll give you the package.

Does Microsoft care if you bring in an XBox console for warranty service when they find out it's from the US?

Cold deal. 240$ US is 270$ but what about the shipping and custom and a hard drive is 130$, Component Cable 40$ which lead to at least 400$. And the big problem is 360 are not the most reliable system which mean if it break you're screw.
