Bought a BMW M3.......

.... and I LOVE It. AMAZING CAR.

Just before my 21st b-day. Damn good B-Day present for myself hahaha.

If anyone is considering one, GET IT. You will not be dissapointed. word. latez.

/// My M3 in action ///

--------------------------

uh, update:

Alot of theories / bashing / props. I respect that. Here are some answers.

If you see this as bragging, like someone else already said, everyone likes to do it once in a while. It's healthy. Haters will always hate, but I have full respect for anyone who makes a similar posting. Props to them for working DAMN hard, or finding an entrepreneurial way to suceed.

After selling my RSX-S, I took the bus for just over a year. Trust me, I know what it's like to walk a few miles to get from point A to B, or carry 10 bags of grocceries back on the way home.

I've worked 70 hour weeks. 2 jobs. Its tough.

Anyways, back to the car.

The car is sweet. It drives like nothing else, except the STi I test drove. Those things have tight grip and handling.

Way back, if I saw some 20 year old punk making a post like this, I'd have the same reaction.

WTF ?

Rich spoiled punk....

Uh, how'd u make all that money ?

I was taking BCOM - bachelor of commerce - recently dropped out, and couldn't be happier.

I daytrade stocks. The limits are endless. This can be seen both ways, so unless u know what ur doing, u probably shouldn't be doing it.

If any questions about the car, PM me.

I say go give one a quick spin on a test drive. . . . You won't be dissapointed.

and what is the point of coming onto RFD and telling everybody you got a car..........probably used too........common tell your friends or something, cause nobody here cares.....so unless your post had a point, like asking an advice about that car or something it's a pointless post.

p.s. btw someone already beat you on here, some guy came on here and showed of his NSX.........you guys should hang out together or something ;)

Wow i wish i could afford an E46 M3 and i'm older than you. Instead of making money though, i'm largely in debt!

Some people at that age own their own businesses and could actually afford something like that at a young age, although i do agree, most of the time it's from Mommy and Daddy's bank roll.

Yeah but, I mean, damn it come on, at 21 w/ an M3? Daddy or Mommy must either be some higher up execs, higher up gov't workers, or as an other poster mentioned, involved in some illegal activity.

Now of course some ppl are gonna start bashing at me about the TSX, for the record, it's my rich sister's car... not my poor arse's. I like my 3rd gen rusted prelude thank you very much.

Who cares if his parents bought it for him? He has a nice car and he's proud of that fact, leave the guy alone.

I personally dont' have the luxury of rich parents, so I have to work for everything I have, but it doesn't mean I judge those more fortunate than I am.

You guys sound like a bunch of jealous children. Someone has something nicer than you do so you ***** and whine about how they don't deserve it.

I'm sure all of you have never been given anything in your life either eh?

Depends, we might be a good restaurant. I dunno, it might be come a hobby or a project after we leave the house. And, when we leave, and the house is liquified I get 1/2 of the money!

Don't most new restaurants fail and leave the owners in financial ruins?

Don't know about most, but a lot do.
Most non-franchised restaurants fail though, yes.
I am unsure about how much franchised restaurants fail, probably a lot less than half.

Grocery stores are the way to go. There's a lot of money to be made from grocery stores.
What I have found is that most small towns don't have a true grocery store. That might have some dingy Mr. Grocer or some other wannabe grocery store.
What I would do (and what I plan on hopefully doing at some point in my life) is sticking in a small-medium No Frills or Food Basics.
Pick one of those small towns that are growing like crazy, wait 5 years or so for the town to grow, then ask head office to build you a new superstore.

A guy I know did that exact same thing. Took over a tiny Mr. Grocer, turned it into a No Frills and waited for the town to grow and demand to increase. 5 years later, head office built him a new, huge store. They sell electronics, clothes, pharmacy, deli, bakery, etc.

Grocery stores are the way to go if you can find the right town. Any town that is growing in size and doesn't have a real grocery store is a resource just waiting to be tapped into.

Must be because he's a dropout and needs self esteem from strangers... validation that he's actually achieved something.

Do the math. A university dropout working 2 jobs isn't going to get him a M3. Let's not forget about insurance on that car especially for someone who's male and under 25. Then factor in gas and maintenance.

I haven't even factored in personal living expenses like buying clothes, going out, etc.

If you need a $90,000 car to attract girls than theres bigger problems with you than what you drive.

M3's are a dime a dozen, they're awesome track cars, but i'm sick of people picking them up used for 40grand and thinking they're the king..congratulations, I could pick up a Maserati used for 70 and pretend to be a high roller too.

I don't know about you guys, but when I buy my car's my first though isn't "damn how good will i look in this thing". Some of you kids need to really grow up, stop being so superficial.

I don't need a $90,000 car to attract anyone.
I drive a Pontiac Sunfire and am considering a Hyundai Tiburon.
Both of those together don't equal half of $90,000.

When I buy a car my first thought isn't "how good will I look in this thing" either. So I guess we agree on that point.

Kids?? I'm 24 thanks. I've lived on my own for a long time, have a great government job and a steady, long time girlfriend.

The only reason I even made that post about who looks better is because you went and got all materialistic about your car. Bad mouthing him and his car simply because your car is faster.

I could just as easily bad mouth you for buying a car based on how fast it will go. It's no different than buying one for how it looks.

Grow up!

I say go give one a quick spin on a test drive. . . . You won't be dissapointed.

good job idiot, that bmw will be worth **** in a few years, maybe you should have invested in the house or apartment you're gonna live in for the rest of your life.

What kind of rotors are those? Are those holes in the face? What are they for - cooling i'd imagine?

Cross drilled, Rotors. There are slotted but they warp much easier.
That is a Brembo break package. After market.
Brembo calipers and cross drilled rotors.
Yeah they are for better breaking and cooling.

I have cross drilled and slotted + ceramic break pads in my mini cooper. (Brembo rotors but stock calipers.

Go talk ***** in someone elses thread. If you don't like the car, stay out of the thread. I hope you get banned for your personal attack, although I wont resort to reporting the post.

OMG I LOVE THE BMW M3... I wish I owned one..
Up there is not my car... It's my friends car...

beautiful ride! I was thinking about grabbing the older model M3's (98-99) we'll see what happens, they run from 15-25 g's which isn't too bad.

Grab yourself the eurospec ones.
Man, if you tune them up they can reach to 1000hp.

I'm flaming because this kid claims to have bought the M3 out of his own wallet. Sure, this is the internet and anyone can make claims to whatever they choose.

Heck, I just bought a Porsche Carrera GT.

I picked up my own car at his age too. yes his is worth a little more (actually alot more) lol, but some of us do work hard on their own.
and yes I also got it brand new.

and yes we pay for everything, gas, insurance, downpayment you name it, maybe the OP is lying, but why would you care anyways?

Must be because he's a dropout and needs self esteem from strangers... validation that he's actually achieved something.

Do the math. A university dropout working 2 jobs isn't going to get him a M3. Let's not forget about insurance on that car especially for someone who's male and under 25. Then factor in gas and maintenance.

I haven't even factored in personal living expenses like buying clothes, going out, etc.

you are doing your math all wrong. very wrong. you are hating for no reason. you dont even know what he does for a living.

just like any other job I am sure the pay is based on how good you are.
and I am sure its more then $50K, cause an average person makes around $50K a year

I think you might be a bit high.

This link (http://www40.statcan.ca/l01/cst01/famil05a.htm) seems to indicate that in 2004 the average wage was about $31 200 a year for singles.

Um, unless you buy a Ferrari, your car is going to depreciate. Automobiles are one of the worst investments anyone can make. That much is common sense. However, BMW's (especially one with an M badge) are some of the best for depreciation in their class. Audi S4's are particularly bad.

So, can you shut your wordhole now?

Congrats on your new ride. Do you think you can post up actual pics of your ride? I think I am planning to buy a used Acura NSX for a weekend car. (maybe when I find a new job or get a huge raise) That would be so SWEET!!!! Driving around in a NSX.
