I have a 99 cavalier and just below the gas tank lid the paint is starting to bubble and some very minor rusting is beginning. Also I want to get my rear spoiler repainted as it's all scratched up. I have been only to Maaco (in Etobicoke, 19 advance st.) so far for an estimate, he wants $550.00 tax included. Does this sound reasonable?? The guy sounded honest to me, and I will be sure to get another quote from elsewhere before I get it done. For the bubbling under the gas tank cap he said they need to remove and repaint the entire 1/4 panel. Spoiler I'd imagine they'd just take it right off and repaint.

The rest of my car is still in pretty good shape, but for an entire repaint for the whole car I think he said it'd be around $2000.00. Obvioulsy I don't need that, but if the whole car is 2000, and for the minor repairs (see above paragraph) he wants a whole $550.00, it just doesn't seem right to me. What do you guys think?

Also, any opinions on reputable places in the Toronto area I could bring it in for a quote other than Maaco? Thanks very much for any responses offered.
