i understand that cars need to be atleast 15 years old to be eligible to be imported from japan to canada. but what if let's say... there's a 2000 model car that i really want from japan and there also happens to be a 1991 version of it. could someone in japan take the VIN from the 1991 car and put it on the 2000 car? would that actually help in some way to get it successfully imported? what other factors do i need to consider? i know this idea sounds ridiculous but i'm curious what you guys think so don't flame me too hard. please.
