First choice to was to get the test done at Morningside, but they are booked 'till mid-July.

Guelph has a lot of openings for next week. For the people who have done their test at this location or have heard about it, can you please give me some pointers?

Whats the highway status and what do they make you do?

My friend did her G2 test there. Was a piece of cake. It's a one-lane road, so there's no switching lanes.

Morningside is the best for G2. The examiners and the roads there are so easy.

I did my G at Downsview, which was pretty complicated, and the examiners asked me to do everything. Soo, I would suggest you to not go there.

Did my G in Guelph. Nothing much ... plain driving with a speed limit of 80 km/hr, drive up a ramp onto another road ... that's pretty much it. I did my test 3 years ago.

anyone know how brantford it? I have my g2 test booked there on friday, I have yet to parallel park though, so hopoefully I learn that fairly fast, I mean if I can drive a car and can drive a forklift, i'm sure i can parallel park a car.

I am originally from Guelph and did all my tests there... I don't think they ever make you go on the 401. It's too far from their offices and the test is too short. The fastest you'll go is 70-80 km/h on Hwy. 6 North a.k.a. the Hanlon Expressway.

There is a "black market" for test spots. All the driving schools and instructors trade test spots with each other --- sometimes money is exchanged, other times not. All the driving instuctors have to do is tell one of their own students that he is not ready for the test yet and need a couple of lessons more (and then give you that spot).

A friend of mine took a couple of refresher lessons for his G exit exam (mainly for parallel parking) and his instructor was able to get him a test spot (for free) that was a month earlier than if you book yourself.
