I'm already pretty sure it isnt.

Anyways - Would it be legal for me to mount THIS (http://toronto.craigslist.org/pts/169394967.html) onto my car?

No, in Ontario only Emegency vehicles can carry red rotating/flashing lights.

so if you mounted it without the lights (just the casing), would it not be legal ?

I don't know the Highway Traffic Act to know for certain, but I'm willing to bet you're gonna land up finding yourself getting pulled over/ticketed/attempting to fight those tickets quite a bit. It's not worth the hassle.

hahahahhaah.........

well, you can always buy the smaller light, that u can pull it on when u need it. it gets you the *right* to ran red lights if worked with a siren. hahaha.

this 3 interchangeable color thing. only costs u about 20 bucks.

If that's fun, then getting arrested for impersonating a police officer would be GREAT ;)

You could still drop the bottle for liquid soap.

And I know it's illegal to use the red lights, and the blue ones unless you're a snow plow. But I'm more concerned with just mounting... and not using.

I get mistaken for a cop in this car enough though. That would probably be too much.

If a cop has reasonable grounds to believe you are impersonating another officer, you'll get arrested.

If you mount those things on your car, a cop could very well make the presumption that you are trying to impersonate him. A judge could also very well find you guilty.

You decide if it's worth the risk.

Why not just put to upturned coffee cans in your back window, and a big antanae on the back, then remove your hubcaps? That will be good enough to make you look like an 'undercover' patrol car.

Btw, there is a guy around here that has a light box on the roof of his old black and white Mustang, and a Nevada police ensignia on the door. He's trying to re-create the old pursuit cars they used, and the light box is clearly a homemade job with no lights inside, he's had it for years, so I assume he doesn't get in any trouble for it.
