You just tell them you want to ship it via lettermail and not as a regular parcel. It's usually $1.90 shipped for a DVD.

I've sent games lots of times in bubble envelopes for under $2 (lettermail), and they've never gotten wrecked. As long as the package is less than 2cm thick (in addition to certain length and width restrictions), you can ship via lettermail.
