If not, how many balloons do you think it will take?

Didn't they do this in mythbusters. But I think they used a helium raft instead of balloon.
This is not a midget nor an ordinary balloon

I think they're going to use a single weather balloon. That will work.

i believe in myth busters they put like 200 to a little girl and they tested it be4 attaching to her, but the pull was tooo strong, so the myth that ull float away is busted

Yea Banzai.. the Japanese betting show... they had one where you had to guess how many ballons it'd take to lift up a chicken.

BTW they found it would take approx 3500 balloons to lift an avg 4 year old.

Balloons might not lift a midget....

I pity the fool who don't remember Mr. T winning the World's Greatest Bouncer contest, throwing 'Dwarfs' :D .

Balloons come in many sizes. Each size filled with helium has a measurable lifting capacity easily calculated with an accurate spring scale. Buy one helium balloon, test it's lift, and multiply by 100. If the answer is less than 80lbs (plus a safety margin), don't launch your midget.

Actually it was 42 (yes, forty-two (http://www.mythbustersfanclub.com/mb2/content/view/15/27/)) balloons, to lift Adam to 75 feet.

That was a different experiment with weather baloons. The one I was referring to was using regular party baloons (those that you can get a dozen for $1 in dollar stores..)

BTW, for fans of the Mythbusters TV show, Jamie and Adam's sexy co-mythbuster Kari Byron, has her photo in a recent issue of FHM (http://www.fhmus.com/articles-1276.asp?cnl_id=5&stn_id=46&idx_id=1276).
