Buying Games using steam,

Hello, if I buy a game using the stem store, will it automatically give me the cd key for the game, or it will ship it to me? I have hunch that the game will have to be shipped, but could anyone help me out and confirm with me if you have bought games form steam before.

It either gives you cdkey or just unlock the game for you. No they won't ship it to you.

You never get a Cd when you buy thru steam, rather you download the game. If you log on to your steam account on another PC you can download the games you own to that machine and play there as well. You must be logged into steam to play. I used it for HL2 and it worked pretty good, I've bought a few things through it and its been painless, does add up the bandwitdh if you wipe your drive or something.
