1) Safeway - Every 7th sandwhich is free. If you prefer to buy 6"'s instead of 12" (which makes a free one come faster), that free sandwhich can be a 12", meaning: 6" more of free sandwhich!
To make this deal last, try to switch it up once and a while, and do buy a 12". You do want the deal to stick around, don't you?
2) Free used consumer items on Craigslist: Craigslist (http://vancouver.craigslist.org/zip/)
3) Free used stuff on BuySell.com BuySell Newspaper (http://www.buysell.com/search/resultsvr2.aspx?pshcat=keyword&id=275&qu=free)
4) Freecycle groups for Canada on Yahoo Groups - Freecycle (http://www.offersandfreebies.com/canada-freecycle.htm)
That's it for now.
What do you have to share? Vancouver and lower mainland residents ONLY.

Note: I still have yet to see the paper version of this anywhere, even though they printed '300,000' copies.
Your Ride Guide Companion: http://www.translink.bc.ca/files/pdf/YRG.pdf
Anyone who’s ever ridden SkyTrain, SeaBus or buses in Greater Vancouver has looked at a building, landmark or natural setting and wondered, “What’s that?”
Beginning June 14, a new publication will offer a wealth of information about the Greater Vancouver that people see through a transit window, and give directions to some favourite destinations via public transit. Your Ride Guide, by local historian and long-time transit user Jim McGraw, will be distributed free in this Wednesday’s Vancouver Sun, and at selected SkyTrain stations and aboard SeaBus from Wednesday to Friday.
The 32-page magazine, sponsored by the Sun, Bombardier and TransLink, is valuable to visitors and local residents alike. The history, charm, attractions and interesting stories of neighbourhoods in the region are brought to life in Your Ride Guide through Jim McGraw’s light, entertaining style of writing.
“It’s amazing what’s around every major route,” says McGraw, a former broadcaster who is on the executive of the Vancouver Historical Society. “As I've ridden SkyTrain and SeaBus, I’ve often heard people say, 'What's that?' as they look out the window and see things like the Burr Building, The Lions or Christopher Columbus Plaza. Your Ride Guide is an answer to those 'what's that?' questions.”
As well as in the Sun, at SkyTrain stations and on SeaBus, Your Ride Guide will be available on BC Ferries, Amtrak and in many hotels and shopping centres.

Admission for the Vancouver Art Gallery on Tuesday nights is by donation. Regular price during the rest of the week is $15 for adults.
There's sometimes free samples of ground coffee next to the cash register at Starbucks.
I never had a Safeway sandwich but I heard they are really good. I will have to check it out.

Good post, I didn't realize, but there's some decent stuff people are giving away for free...
And also, next time I need a haircut, I know where to look,
