Hello
I am looking for a table/ electronic entertaiment console to go under a flat pannel tv to house my electronics.
I have been to all the usual furniture stores without much luck, most are too wide or just plain ugly. If anyone as seen one in their travels or might know where to buy one please let me know :D .
Here are some examples.

That's a real person preference. You say that you went to all the usual stores..
Last year when we bought our 50" LCD projection set we too looked everywhere for a cabinet that would hold the stereo receiver, HTPC, satellite reciever, digital cable box and Playstation. In my case I did want glass doors as I have a little one who would grab at everything.
There were several at IKEA that I really liked, but only one or two was large enought to fit the depth of the Yamaha receiver and HTPC. They were however too small for the 50" TV. This wouldn't be a concern for you depending on the size of your TV and whether you are wall mounting it or not.
We eventually bought one from Walmart for about $100. It is a basic silver cabinet made of MDF with a centre support (ie left and right sides) as well as an adjustable shelf on each side and glass doors. It looks similar to the pricey "matching" stands for the LCD TV's but had the functionality of the front glass doors.
You just gotta keep looking.

Thanks Watson
Our tv is mounted on the wall and I was looking for a media holder that was more in the way of a piece of furniture (something with some character and not just particle board stuff  ).
I agree it is personal perference sort of thing. Outside of IKEA there were not to many places that carried the sort of item I pictured and was just hoping some people might have seen something similar in their travels.
I hate the furniture stores :cheesygri
