People are asking this much used, and the grey market joints want about $600.

Rogers wants $499 without contract - but it is locked and branded. There is talk that the Roger's version won't have the Flash Lite theme support that makes the W810i in particular such a neat phone for theme creators.

You can get the phone unlocked from Canada Computer for $499 (+ tax) or even less if you shop around. I think the cheapest I've seen it is $479-ish.

Any ways, I've had my w810 for over a month now I guess and I'm really happy with it.

i e-mailed them less than a week ago asking if/when they'd be getting the SE W810i, and they responded that they had no information on this phone and told me to **** off kindly

yeah, I called around yesterday to find one locally and most people told me it had not been announced yet. :) It was on the Rogers site for purchase.

I am hearing two weeks before the stores get stock. :^(

Plus the flash themes do not work...

So I will get one grey market or from Sony.

How would that affect warranty? If the phone breaks, deal directly with SE for RMA. As long as the phone is sold as retail, manufacturer's warranty stands (to my knowledge).

Since you're in Calgary, it probably doesn't mean that much to you, but they don't charge provincial tax outside of Quebec either.
