So a couple times I've read (on the forums) or seen (on tv etc) or heard (friends and etc) about how much they beer they drink. A couple times I hear about how people say, I drank a 6-pack/12-pack. Wow! That's so much, I don't mean alcohol but just fluid. Like If I drink maybe 3 glasses of water, my stomache bloats and I feel sick. But some people down 6 beers, I'm assuming that's like maybe 300ml * 6 cans = 1.8L! Wow....and what's even more shocking is that most beer is carbonated! Wowwww, I couldn't imagine drinking 6 cans of soda!

This reminds me, I'm going to the bar tonight.
People drink a lot of beer because it takes more to get hammered. Now if I'm drinking straight tequila; More drunkiness , less bathroom brakes.

alcohol (especially beer) comes straight out..way way faster than water to go through ur system.

Yeah, when you drink alcohol you end up peeing a LOT! It's probrably because the livers are working more to filter this alcohol from your body.

It's just something you get used to I guess... when I first started college, I stuck to the ***** drinks.. coolers, mixed drinks etc. but slowly I started drinking more and more beer.

I've actually heard that some beer contains additives which make you feel more thirsty, and then cause you to drink more. I wonder if this has anything to do with it?
I usually drink micro-brewery beer, and I can only drink a few.

It's something a group of people do socially that doesn't reaquire a lot of energy. It's a lot hard to get all your friends to go play a game of hockey or football than it is to get them to go out drinking with you.
Besides most group drinking nights result in some good memories. Just don't be a ****** when you drink.

lol you're funny Sajjad... you will find out soon enough..
when people say they have 12 beers, it's not like they're having it all in an hour... it's usually over a few hours. Try drinking 2L of coke in 4-5 hours, I'm sure you can easily do it.

Alcohol causes your kidneys to STOP retaining water, hence you piss more. Dehydration is one of the reasons why your hangover sucks.

How do people drink [alcohol] so much?
Beer is for entry-level drinking. Yes, it's mostly of much lower alcohol level (there ARE some exceptions though), so you basically drink and p. Best for college boys. 12 pack is no big deal.
Stronger ones like XO and whisky are different. Many people have no problem pouring in up to a quarter or half litre in like 3 hours or so (throughout the dinner, esp. in banquets). But don't trust the movies when the guy drinks up a full bottle or even 2 in 1 shot. Any quick dose (of say 35% or higher alcohol content) like that (1 - 2 L) would almost certainly send him to hospital.

Its funny watching people try out for the 40 beer club though, especially women.

I don't drink beer much because I like to not feel as bloated when I am pissed. I drink vodka instead, straight. But I am not much of a drinker anyways. Every now and then I have a bit too much, but it makes me into a quieter person.

after a night of drinking especially during the work week, i sit for about an hour and just chug water after. wake up the next morning really needing to piss but no hangover!
i find eating greasy breakfast food helps too

Guys drink beer because it makes us see women prettier, and we get hornier, and more courageous. Combine all that, and there's a reason for heavy drinking :cheesygri
I've never been a big drinker. I'll get pretty happy when I drink every now and then. Last time I can remember that I got sloshed to the point of puking and spending the day in bed was the blackout of 2003.
The only alcohol I actually ENJOY drinking is red wine and a can of Guinness.

They say you never really buy beer, you just simply rent it.
