Does breaking your nose hurt?

Was at the Dojo lastnight doing some grappling. I shot in for a double leg take down, any my partner but a head lock around my head. His forearm was across the bridge of my nose, and tried to flip me over and I hear a *crack*. Instantly hit the ground. It didn't hurt too much but my eyes were watering, that was the worst part. I moved my nose back and forth and it did crack again, but after that it was fine.

It is a little tender this morning, but does not look to be broken. IE, my nose is straight.

Ideas?

Breaking your nose does hurt....maybe the cartilage moved around instead of a break?

Go to your docter to get it checked out.Just because you heard a crack it does not mean it is broke.

and if u break your nose you could look funny after.

Ive had it happen and didnt know it. I know my brother broke mine when I was a teenager when we were fighting once.

A few years later when getting my tonsils out the doctor said "Did you know your nose was broken once" You have a major deviated septum, hence I had trouble breathing though my nose

To be honest I had a major crooked nose, just thought it was the way I was born.

Went in for surgery about 10 years ago to get it fixed. Not something you want to fgo through. I looked like Rocky and had major complications months later, hemoraging, etc. Very gross

Get it checked now while its easy to fix

I had my nose broken a few times during fights (in the ring, not on the street) and I didn't even know it. The one time I felt it, but didn't think it was broken. The other times it was just slightly tender, which is not unusual after a fight. Half my face is tender after a fight, so it didn't feel any different than any other time.

I had my nose broke a few years back and (yes it hurt).
I also broke my hand once off another fellas nose and that hurt even more....don't remember breaking a bone that didn't hurt :)

I have no idea if it hurts. I was unconsious. :mad:
