Two teenagers were taken to hospital Tuesday after they were assaulted by a group of males while they sat in a car parked at a Mississauga plaza.
One victim was taken from the car, lifted up and dropped on his head, Peel Regional Police say. He suffered a brain hemorrhage and is in intensive care.

The attack occurred at 2:30 p.m. at the Dreamcrest Plaza in the area of Mavis Rd. and Eglinton Ave.

Several males approached a gold-coloured Honda Accord, police say.

Through the open window of the car, they began to assault an 18-year-old who was seated in the front.

Then a 17-year-old sitting in the rear seat was taken out, lifted up and dropped on his head.

The attackers then fled.

The victim was taken to hospital and admitted to intensive care to be treated for a brain hemorrhage.

The 18-year-old victim was taken to a local hospital and treated for swelling and contusions on his face.

Police are searching for several males, including one desribed as 6-foot-5 with a muscular build and short, dark hair. He was wearing an orange T-shirt and dark pants.

Should be easy detective work for the Peel Police.

One suspect is 6'5 and muscular built.
I would start by checking all high school year books for the basketball teams

Very little details so far. Was it a premeditated attack, or was it random? I am guessing it's the former, which will also make the investigation a lot easier

happened at my school, rick hansen. the plaza is a 2 minute walk away. after school the plaza was full of police cars, and there was an ambulance poarked in the middle of the street. there was alot of blood on the sidewalk aswell

MISSISSAUGA, ON, May 10 /CNW/ - A Tuesday afternoon attack at a
Mississauga plaza has sent two Mississauga teens to hospital.
On Tuesday, May 9, 2006, at approximately 2:30 p.m., the victims, aged 18
years and 17 years, were seated in a gold coloured Honda Accord at the
Dreamcrest Plaza, at 1010 Dreamcrest Road (in the area of Mavis Road and
Eglinton Avenue). The vehicle was approached by several males who began to
assault the victims. The 18 year-old victim, who occupied the front seat, was
assaulted through the open car window. The 17 year-old victim, who was seated
in the rear seat, was removed from the vehicle by the attackers and assaulted.
At one point he was lifted and dropped on his head. When this occurred, the
group dispersed.
Emergency services arrived. The 18 year-old was taken to a local hospital
and treated for swelling and contusions to his face. The 17 year-old, was also
taken to a local hospital, however it was discovered he had suffered a skull
fracture. He was taken to a Toronto area hospital and admitted to intensive
care to treat haemorrhaging to his brain.
Police are searching for several males described as South Asian. One
suspect of particular interest was described to investigators as male South
Asian, 6'5", muscular build with short dark hair wearing an orange t-shirt and
dark pants.

Yes its not really beef no more, its now a war between these people, but 80% of the people involved in this beef have never showed up to school, and the rest 20% have been suspended etc.

You think it's easy but it's not, you can't just go randomly accusing people and the victims will not 'snitch'. So yeah, police can't do anything about this even if they knew who the attackers were, unless somebody says something which teens will never do.

I grew up in North York and Scarborough in the late 80s/early 90s and things were much worse back then.

Seeing/hearing kids from this area (Sauga) trying to be gangsters just boggles my mind. If anyone is not familiar with the area, it's pure suburbs. So these "gangstas" are living with their parents in posh 3+ bedroom homes.

I think some of the kids here need to be picked up and dropped off in New York and Jersey and then we can see how "tough" they really are :lol:

i live not far from there and you are sooo right. i see them walk in square one like the run the place...it's crazy...these kids read this stuff in the news and figure they want to be part of the hype...soo crazy.

word around the school is that the guy went into a coma and had to have brain surgery.

Two Mississauga teenagers were taken into police custody today in connection with a brutal beating in the parking lot of a local plaza that left one victim with a brain hemmorhage and another with a bruised and swollen face.

Peel Regional Police confirmed last night that a 17-year-old male has been charged with aggravated assault, while another 17-year-old male has been charged with assault causing bodily harm following Tuesday's attack at the Dreamcrest Plaza, in the area of Mavis Rd. and Eglinton Ave.

In accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act, neither accused can be identified.

Investigators say more arrests are pending.

The assault occurred at around 2:30 p.m. after a group of five teens in a parked Honda Accord became involved in a verbal dispute with another group in the plaza parking lot. The altercation is believed to have been about a "racial issue," a police source said.

The dispute escalated when several males rushed the parked car, proceeding to punch an 18-year-old who was sitting in the front seat through an open car window. Police say a 17-year-old in the back seat was dragged out of the car by the attackers and dropped on his head. The attackers then fled the scene.

Friends in the car phoned 9-1-1. The 18-year-old was taken to a local hospital and treated for swelling and contusions to his face. The 17 year-old suffered a skull fracture and was rushed to a Toronto area hospital and admitted to intensive care to treat his brain hemmorhage.

Police say both victims are expected to make a full recovery.

I question the "make full recovery" bit, if you get dropped on your head then that stays with you forever. Next thing you know you get a stroke when you are 25. The attackers should be charged for attempted murder.

i am glad 2 arrests were made and hope more will be and a message will be sent to these punks...i'm soo sick of this crap... my sister is 17 and goes to high school in mississauga and it sickens me to hear this stuff...the kids watch too many movies and think they can get away with this stuff cause they'r underage...scary thing is that they're probably right with the underrage laws in canada...
