Looking for a good Electric Razor...

I've been browsing the web for a good dryshaver, but I'm really looking for a model that can either be used while wet or has a self cleaning ability (for low maintenance).

I've been looking at the Braun Activator at dealsoutlet.ca, but another problem arises when it comes to electric dryshavers; where the heck do I get the spare razor cartridges and cleaning fluid? I know you can order anything online, but when it comes to a small accessory, it's just cheaper to buy it locally.

Just a few questions:

1. Does anyone know of any good electric dryshavers (or possibly wet) or of any retailers that sell many models of good electric dryshavers? Basically, I'm looking for feedback on any particularly good models.

2. Does anyone know which particular retailers carry a lot of dryshavers at good prices? Sears' prices tend to be overpriced, IMO.

3. Are there any particular specialty stores in Toronto that sell many men's grooming products (and razors)?

If you mean optical inch, I'd like the finished shave to look like a 5-o'clock shadow. I definitely know that electric and/or dry razors will never be as close as wet shaving, but shaving every other day is a hassle.

Braun Activator - Model 8585
I searched some of the rfd threads and found it to be a good razor (but not rounded). There's a newer model of the 9585, I don't know what the differences are (other than colour) or if it's negligible.

Philishave Cool Shaver
I found this model to be really good since it's a popular waterproof electric shaver, although the Nivea for Men catridges seem like a rip, almost as expensive as the Gillette Fusion razor blades (at $5 a pop).

Braun Cruzer3
I don't know how good this model is, other than it has the other feature of trimming, but it looks good awfully cheap and lousy, with the additional features to make it bearable. oh well, Scratch Cruzer3.

They sell garbage as far as I've known, with unfamiliar brands typically used in infomercials at inflated prices.

Purchase any Norelco Spectra model. You will not be disappointed.

I thought the Norelco shavers were for body hair only. I'm referring to the website of shaveeverywhere.com, they didn't mention anything about shaving the face, only the body.

So far, I've been checking out the Philishave Cool Skin Shaver, can anyone tell me the differences between the old and the newer model?

Other than the charging time of 1 hour over 8, and additional led lights on the newer model, I don't see a point in blowing off almost double the price for these marginal features/improvements.

Also, according to the futureshop website, the cheaper Philishave has no replaceable heads (circular razors). Is this true or just a mistake?

I've read that people who use the Philichave coolskin just apply shaving soap on their face and it does as good as a job as the expensive Nivea cartridges.
