Well I'm finally going to replace my bike tires, After pluggin the 5-6 holes that they currently have.

When I go to the store (probably canadian tire) what do I need to tell them? It's a 18speed bike, but I don't know if all tires are the same and what else I need to know to get the right tires.

is it actually the tires you need to replace (are they actually worn, without tread) or is it a set of new inner tubes that you need (that you have patched over and over again)???

if it is the tires, then simply bring the old tires with you and buy similar sized tires.

otherwise, the tubes are also matched to tire size, and the tire size can be found on the sidewall of either front or rear tire. write it down on a piece of paper and bring it in with you.

also, consider whether a set of slicks might be better for you, if you never take the bike off pavement.

Thanks I didn't think of actually taking the tire.

I am planning to see how much the whole tire with the inner tube will be. I could live with just replacing the inner tube, but better tread would help.

depends on the size of the wheel. the majority of mountain bikes for adults are 26 X 1.95. thats for the inner tubes and the tires. check the writing on the side of the tire. it should say it there unless its really old or worn off. how tall are you? what company is the bike? chances are strong its the standard size above
good luck
