I'm looking into buying a home theatre in a box system to attach to a multimedia PC, so I don't want one with a built-in DVD player, but rather a reciever & speaker combo. My price limit is about $500 (before tax). An optical or digital coax audio input is preferred.

So far I've found:
Sony HTDDW900 ($449.99 @ BB & FS)
Yamaha YHT160 ($449.99 @ 2001 A/V, $399.99 @ The Brick??)

If anyone knows anything wrong with either of these systems, why one might be better than the other, any other similar systems, or even seperate reciever/speaker combo's around the same price range, your input and comments would be greatly appreciated.

So far I am preferring the Yamaha because of brand loyalty.

Thanks,

Mark
