Officers from 31 Division want residents to make themselves at home on May 13.
That's when the division hosts its annual barbecue and open house from 11am to 3pm at 40 Norfinch Dr.
In addition to a free barbeque, the open house includes face painting and balloons and the opportunity for children to have their picture taken with Elmer the elephant, Blinky the Talking Police Car and Snooky Tynes and The Tynes Four.
There will also be guest appearances by the Toronto Lynxx soccer team, police displays, tours of the station and other activities.

Get arrested and ask for a transfer :)
Anyway, on a more serious note, this is probably a good idea to get kids to be more open to the police, especially with the problems in that district of Toronto. I'm glad they're trying to address the problems...

When I saw the title for this thread, it sooooo reminded me of the "Free Speedboat Giveaway" at the police station in The Simpsons... :cheesygri
Don't go to the BBQ if you have outstanding warrants or unpaid parking tickets, hahahah!!

Wow...... the cops are sure opening up their doors.
I guess they don't want people to view cops as uptight and only know how to eat donuts at Tim Hortons
Now they want you to know that they eat hot dogs as well

There has been a lot of newspaper coverage about the high fences that the Toronto police are putting up around all of their stations. I guess you have to jump over the fence if you want to get a hot dog.

Second division, I think. (The one by the Richmond Hill Wavepool) is great. They have the Mobile CC and the helicopter for display. Looks cool.
