Hello. Unfortunately, I don't know too much about cameras and I'm wondering if anyone can suggest a decent camera with a minimum of 5.0 megapixels for a good price? I'd really appreciate any input! Thanks in advance!

Some features I find important:

Uses AA battery format so I can at least buy regular alkalines in a pinch at any corner store anywhere I travel.

Fast startup. I ahd many lost shots because the old camera took 3 secs to start and warm up. The new ones are almost instantaneous. And you can't very well leave the camera on all the time.

Tiltable LCD viewer. To take overhead shots and still be able to compose.
This one comes in handy more often then you think.
It is a must have in tight crowds. Eg. when you're trying to shoot over a crowd at a street performer or even a birthday party where everyon is gathered around the cake.
Pllus it adds variety to the photo album with different new angles.

A wide angle lens let's you work in confined areas and capture more of the subject.

Variable flash output. This feature help to not wash out macro shots in indoor low-light shots. Eg. taking pictures of that amazing dinner entre, or that cute hand crafted doll at the souvenir shop.
