Rogers wanted to run my interenet cable up the side of my house and drill a hole through the brick. They would not try to fish it. Told him to leave me with 30 ft of their cable hooked up in the basement which he did. Then I did mine by running the coaxial from the basement up through a hot air duct to the third floor. Maybe a simple task for you. Simply drill a hole in the duct in the basement (assuming thats where you are staring from) Tie a weight to a string and drop it down the duct in the room you want the cable to fish the string with a coat hanget tie to your coaxial and pull it up. From the register I pushed it under the carpet to the wall and then ran it to where I wanted it.

not a bad idea, but do heating ducts go vertically or horizontally as well?

A little off topic, but when I wanted to get cable upstairs from the basement, the Rogers guy that came to my place WOULDN'T run it outside of the house and drill a hole through the brick to get it back in. He said he would get in trouble if his supervisor found out because people complain about it for aesthetic reasons. He wouldn't do it even if I said I wouldn't complain.

Do all electrical/fuse boxes located in the basement have a demarc for the cable? I know there is a cable demarc point outside my house located on the side of my house. WOndered if there was another inside the electrical box. The rumpus room is in the basement. Any idea what I should look for to confirm this?
