Hopefully this hasn't been answered but, I am currently a Rogers wireless customer. My phone is being repaired but in the meantime I have purchased an used unlocked GSM phone. As I understand things, I just take my old SIM out and put it in the new phone power on and everything should be good.

My main question is, do I have to notify Rogers in any way that I have changed handsets? I am thinking not, but just want to see if anyone knows for sure, thanks.

Yeah, as long as the phone is unlocked you will be fine. No, you don't need to tell Rogers anything.

nope, they do not need to be informed of the handset swap...
if we did require to notify them, id be calling in every 5 mins and my account notes on file would end up being 1000 pages long, boy o boy..
