If I register or transfer a domain to Godaddy.com, do I get free email/web forward? I don't intend to use their web hosting and POP3, unless they are free.

Thanks

I transfered my domains to another company. But upto that point, four months ago, I had free pop3 email and free web forward.

Just took a quick look at their site, and it looks like they still offer that.

You are correct. I'd like to have someone who actually use their service answer my question.

BTW, what company is that?

Yes. Just checked my GoDaddy control panel. You can create email-forwarding for free. I think 400 email forwards and 3 25MB mailboxes per domain.

1and1.com. I caught on to the free 3 year deal a few years back and switched to them for hosting. Now i pay, but get 5 free domains, tons of space, and much quicker response times. MY godaddy domain was expiring, so I transfered it and get it for free now in my package with 1and1.

I'm using godaddy as registrar and control DNS so that I can move freely from 1 webhost to another...finding a good webhost is quite difficult and I've been switching for the past 3 years close to every 6 months yet to find one that can deliver consistently. Currently I'm with hostforweb but its getting slooooow...
Godaddy's free email sucks as the response time is slow also...times out alot connecting to POP not to mention their smtp relay service...
but then it really depends on what you're looking for...

I only need email forwarding and web forwarding. My email at my own domain will forward to my ####@rogers.com. As far as web hosting, I don't need a web site therefore that isn't that important.
