Yep, its pretty old news. They snuck this one in at the end of last year and they didn't publicize it. I tried it, it works. If you get a ticket, call them and they'll cancel it over the phone.

The reason they did this was because car drivers would steal the paid tickets from motorcycles. All the more reason for me to park my car and ride my motorcycle this summer!

He means car drivers would steal the "proof of payment" ticket (the one you get when you put money into the ticket machine)... not a parking voilation ticket!

I think it's free of charge if you have a valid permit for disable display on your dash board.
