Does anyone know if we can watch all 32 games this year ? If so what channel would carry the games ?
Also does anyone know if the TV schedule has come out yet ? Please post a link if it's out...i work from 8 to 4 and Germany is 6 hours ahead of us so most likely I'll be needing my recorder/PVR to record games and watch later on i guess
Thanks.

If you have Rogers Digital cable, you will be able to watch all of the games.
Not a paid advertisment, just a fact.

I have Rogers (channel 2 up to Channel 60) i guess it's the Ultimate Package
Do i have to sign up for the Rogers Sports Package ? I signed up for that last September and enjoyed the NFL season before cancelling it
Does anyone else know if the regular big boys like TSN, SportsNet, theScore will have any games ? i would be very surprised if they don't have anything. Soccer and the World Cup is just huge, sports and entertainment and commercialism-wise, great for advertising too

Sportsnet, TSN and CTV this week announced the broadcast schedule for this summers FIFA World Cup matches which take place in Germany from June 9 to July 9.
The good news is that all 64 matches will be televised live and in High Definition. Digital Home has the complete broadcast schedule.
Sportsnet HD will televise 32 matches nationally while TSN HD will broadcast 31 matches. The final will be broadcast live on on July 9 at 1:30 p.m. ET.
TSN HD will also broadcast numerous encores of the live matches nationally, while Sportsnet will televise encores on its four channels (Rogers Sportsnet East, Rogers Sportsnet Ontario, Rogers Sportsnet West, Rogers Sportsnet Pacific).
“The World Cup is the largest single sports event in the world, the ideal platform to showcase the power and brilliance of sports in HD.” said Phil King, President, TSN.
Sportsnet and TSN will produce and televise pre-game and post-game shows for the majority of live matches. Hosted by Vic Rauter and Gerry Dobson, with analysis from Craig Forrest and Dick Howard, the shows (along with all half-time shows) will be anchored from a shared broadcast studio.
TSN and Sportsnet will also produce and televise a one-hour FIFA World Cup Preview Show on July 8, providing an in-depth overview of all 32-teams competing in the tournament and the eight groups. The preview includes features from Germany with a look at the host cities and stadia.
In addition, comprehensive 60-minute preview shows will air on Sportsnet and TSN prior to the Quarter-finals and Semifinals, while the one-hour Road to Gold preview of the championship final airs on July 8 at 1:30 p.m. ET on Sportsnet and TSN.
The following is the 2006 FIFA World Cup broadcast schedule on Rogers Sportsnet, TSN and CTV. (Note: all start times include the pre-game show: Pre-games and post-games are 30 minutes unless otherwise specified. The schedule subject to change)

The prejudice idiots at CBC should be ashamed of themselves for not being interested to air such a world class tournament which always has good ratings in this country. It really doesn't matter if Canada is not represented when the very best in the world are competing for the ultimate prize.

Screw the CBC. Hearing anymore of Ron Mclean this summer would suck. He already did the Olympics and he couldn't have sounded anymore bored with it. Imagine him at the WC!
