^As an American that is a big fan of College Football, do you see this Bowl succeeding in Toronto? American College Football fields the best in talent, because unlike Canada, we in the USA recognize the value of awarding Athletic Scholarships to students, particularly in Football and Basketball.
Even if this is a mid-level Bowl, expect this to be much more quality then anything seen at recent Vanier Cups, with much higher attendance by the Colleges in attendance.
All I want to know is if this Bowl has the chance to succeed, and if Canadians are ready for College Football, American Style?

If the CFL doesn't get viewers then forget about College ball...it's time for the NFL in Canada that's what we really want!

You might want to look at the TV ratings in Canada and how CFL games stack up to NHL and NFL games.

Isn't that just about all they value in the US (sports)?

Ignore the naysayers Neilson, some of us are diehard NCAA fans. The only real complaint we have with the actual NCAA is their dumbass licensing arrangements for and in Canada. It's only been the last couple of years that they have even allowed any of the NCAA video games into Canada. They still are being anal about apparel.
Psst... our oldest son actually plays football for the only team in Canada that plays exclusively NCAA teams. ;)

That's awesome, I'm really proud to hear that. What school is that btw?
I know that one day, we will see the largest Canadian Schools playing College Football with the NCAA D1-A teams and it will be a great day for all.
Univ. of Western Ontario vs. LSU? Hey, it could happen in a generation's time.

The team our son plays on is a completely independent team. They are a non-profit that does heavy recruiting (if that is the players goal) as well as guys that just love the game and want to play after highschool. At one time they tried to put together a Canadian College league but it never really got off the ground. The coach then decided 3 years ago that with his contacts, they would play only NCAA div3 schools. Everyone said at the time it would be at least 5 years until they would even be slightly competitive... but they were WRONG! They won their first game this year (against Brockport) and all the other games we were definitely in the game and made them work for their wins. To put it in perspective neilson, we generally have 24-30 guys dressed for a game. We played St. John Fisher (top ranked nationally and final 4 last year) last week and they dressed 80 guys! The final score was 49-36.
I think if NFL makes it into Canada we might indeed see CIS vs. NCAA but that's a big "if". There are so many diffferences between the Canadian game and the US game that will have to be overcome, but I do think it could happen if we get NFL up here.
