Anywhere to play baseball?

I have a local baseball field 10-15 mins (via walk) away from my house.
But the problem is ... I have no idea who to play with it, heck I don't even have a bat, ball, gloves etc. Does anyone know where I can play some non-competitive baseball? Preferably with people in the 14-16yrs old group? Wouldn't mind some older people came as well.

I'm surprised how many people live around me, and I never ever see them playing basketball or anything at all. So unfit...

I have some friends, but they'd play basketball, and they live fairly far away.

Is there a local recreation centre close to you that you can check out. The only thing I can suggest is go up to people when they play and ask them.

I don't know if that'll work. What sucks about baseball is that not everyone would be happy with the amount of at bats he/she gets.
