Hi,
I ordered something from avdeals.ca last week, and a day later I got an email saying tracking number will be sent to me shortly and the item will be mailed soon. Still no tracking number, no nothing... but the CC has been charged. I thought that was kinda shady because usually when I order something online I don't get charged until they ship out (actually often I have already received it). I don't buy much from small stores, but does it raise any "red flags" if they charge the CC right away?

I ordered my DVD player from these guys about 4 or 5 years ago when it was harder to find region free, NTSC/PAL players. I had no problems.

I ordered a couple TV wall mounts from them about 2.5 years ago. Aside from a longer than expected delivery time (shipped out of the US because their Canadian warehouse was OOS) I didn't have any problems.

I ordered parts from avdeals.ca last week, and a day later I got an email saying tracking number will be sent to me shortly and the item will be mailed soon. Still no tracking number. The phone number 877-722-8948 has a recorded message saying they will be close until january 7 (called september 24). Seem funny for a supplyer.
They say they are from Oakville, Ontario L6K 2H2 but also Wilmington, DE, 19801.; at the same phone number. Site belong to Domain Discret from Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Can B5A4B2, And server in Medeina (overseas).

Avdeals.com is now www.hd.ca
They have a retail location and warehouse in Oakville, The US address is a small office just for the US customer and US websites. Usually the first immediate thing you see on your credit card is an authorization to check if funds are available on the CC, this will be seen "reversed" on the CC in a few days, They don't charge until they ship.
Purchased from them a bunch of times. No problems.. A few missed emails but nothing major.
