They track your previous orders by your postal code. So if you ordered before, they won't let you order again, since this offer is one per household. BUT, if you type in your correct address, but change the last digit of your postal code, it'll go through, and you'll still get your coupon (e.g A1A 1A2 instead of A1A 1A1 ...learned it from the other save.ca threads on RFD!!)

Wait.....but hundreds of people have the same postal codes on the same street and apt buildings...so that might not be entirely correct.

I just added an extra letter to my name....gets around the 1 per person thingie!

me thinks they go by street number or last name??

Hmmm weird. I just tried it by changing my email address and it didn't work  Then I tried it by changing my last name. It worked! Then I tried it by changing my postal code, and it worked too. Didn't want to experiment with it anymore 'cuz I don't need that many coupons!! :D

To clarify, there's a postal code for each side of the street... i.e., one for odd numbers, one for the even numbers.

So what you have to do is use your correct street name and number, but specify the postal code for the opposite side of the street. :)

Does Iams still do terrible tests on animals?

clip
---
" For nearly 10 months in 2002 and early 2003, a PETA investigator went undercover at an Iams contract testing laboratory and discovered a dark and sordid secret beneath the wholesome image of the dog- and cat-food manufacturer: dogs gone crazy from intense confinement to barren steel cages and cement cells, dogs left piled on a filthy paint-chipped floor after having chunks of muscle hacked from their thighs; dogs surgically debarked; horribly sick dogs and cats languishing in their cages, neglected and left to suffer with no veterinary care.

I agree, thats sick and sad, something like a third world country like China would do. But in any case, there was a site put out by IAMS and it is refuting PETA's claims and posts video of the dog and cats at IAMS being treated soo nice and stuff. Funny thing is that they are playing outside and no video footage of inside the HQ and I dont even see IAMS company t-shirts or dress code on any of the people on the video.

Its something like IAMSTRUTH.com or something. Check it out.

So my answer is I DONT KNOW. But I am still getting the dog food; its free.

I have never listened to anything PETA has said ever since I saw an ad in Edmonton comparing the women murdered in BC (and they were eaten or something, sorry I don't remeber the details) to eating pork.... That was utterly sick and disgusting...

Edit: Quickly googled it, it was referring to Robert Pickton, murdered 27 women, who supposedly killed and ground them into meat, quite sad...

No.. the pigs ate the women, and the public ate the pigs unknowingly that the pigs ate the women.

From wikipedia

"...the bodies of the alleged victims may have been left to decompose or allowed to be eaten by insects and pigs on the farm... it was revealed that human flesh may have been ground up and mixed with pork from the farm. This pork was never distributed commercially, but was handed out to friends and visitors of the farm."

My family member told us to switch over to iams for our cat. She said to throw out the whiskas bag we have been feeding our cat. I think this was after visiting the vets.....is this a bad thing to go with iams?

It's as good as free since a bag is 11.99-13.99 depending on source.

Iams and all those other grocery store foods are not great at all, incl the high-priced crap the vets try to sell you, and you are what you eat...

As for switching from Whiskas to Purina, or whatever it was...I doubt there's much difference. Check the ingredients list. If one of the first few is any sort of animal meal (poultry meal is common), you don't want it as a mainstay of your pet's diet.

But I'm getting it just to stretch out the grocery bucks. I won't ever buy it w/o the coupon.

Iams is basically $h!t.
It's junk food for pets.
You wouldn't feed yourself cheap crap everyday would you?
If you do, guess you don't have much self respect.
Pay a few dollars more and get hollistic foods, not overprocessed crap.

Man that blows. I seen IAMKILLS and now Proctor&Gamble Kills. WTF is wrong with these companies. These people should have the same treatment they are performing on these animals and see what it feels like.

My Aunt is a breeder and before P&G bought them, they were apparently a great food for dogs.
But what P&G saw was opportunity because it built up such a name for itself in the dog world, they bought them - must have been for a ton of money, otherwise why would you sell a successful business.

So after buying them out, P&G being the company they are, wanted to cut corners and save $$$. So they changed the process AND INGREDIENTS of the food to make it cheaper, but were riding under the IAMS/EUKANUBA name.
Nice eh...prix.

If you seriously want good food for your dogPerformatrin Ultra (http://www.performatrinultra.com/) or any other "hollistic" dog food.
I just use this one b/c my dog's sensitive to certain dog foods and after eating this, she's been a lot better.

IAMS is the worst food you can buy for your dog.
Check the ingredients corn is high on the list, bad sign.
If you wanna cheap out and get this junk food for dogs, go for it, its your dog's health.

Wan't good food, get this stuff, http://www.performatrinultra.com/
If you wanna save less than $10 for your dogs health, that's pretty sad.

Click here if you can stomach these pics and videos.

http://www.naturapet.com/display.php?d=tools-tab
Click the above and use the comparison tool and you'll see the kind of $h1t IAMS uses.

Anything with corn based is cheap and what they call FILLER for the food.
Same with anything that has "BY-PRODUCT" ie - Chicken by-product - the leftover crap, not the REAL meat - ie thights, breasts, etc.

Wow how sad...theres no way in hell im ordering this free coupon.... BESIDES, all those who are getting these coupons b/c its free dog food should know better...

http://dogs.about.com/cs/dietandnutrition/qt/switch_foods.htm

"Dogs act like they have have the mythical "cast-iron stomach" most times, eating objects and substances that make us shudder in disgust. And while it's true that dogs can consume these things blithely, it's also true that a sudden change of a dog's primary diet can be hard on both their stomachs and their eating habits. Changing the main ingredient of your dog's diet (eg: brand of dry dog food) should be done gradually and over a period of at least four days (preferably longer).

How gradual is gradual?
On the first day of change, you should have plenty of the old dog food left. Add three quarters of their old food, and one quarter of the new food. You should do this for at least two days. After two days or so, add in another quarter, so you have half old food, half new food. Again, keep it at this level for another two days or so. Then add in a third quarter (one quarter old, three quarters new), and finally you can phase out the old food completely.

What happens if you don't do it gradually?
Stomach Cramps
Heartburn
Indigestion
Diarrhea
Vomitting
Refusal to Eat

On Presenting Your Dog With a Menu of Many Choices
I'm not talking about raw feeding here, and I'm not discussing home-cooked meals. This refers to a habit some dog owners have developed of having an array of dry dog food choices, or of buying whatever is on sale that week to the feed the dog and save money. Here's a little tip: It may save you a few dollars, and it may be convenient for you, but you are hurting your dog. Chronic indigestion, finicky eating habits, and chronic diarrhea are just three common things that will happen if you like to switch your dog's foods constantly."

yea i've heard from vets actually that iams aren't the best dog food you can feed your dog. and about the iams torturing the dogs is just wrong and peta reporting all this news; peta also kills animals... only thing i can trust now is the WWF. the world is corrupted, animals are the greatest things on earth
