Lynksys WRT54G VERSION 3.0 at Best Buy

I know that some people have been looking for the 3.0 version of the WRT54G Lynksys wireless router.

Well, I just saw a couple (maybe three) of them at Best Buy on Laird, just north of Eglinton today.

Just check the Serial Number on the bottom flap of the box and make sure that it starts with CDF8.

The newer, current V5.0 starts with CDFB, so look carefully. As of April 25 around noon, they had 2-3 of the CDF8 V3.0's.

4.0 also works for the linux cracks (has the same flash rom as the 3.0)

and 5.0 also works depending on the linux firmware you get, they just realesed one that does work

DD-WRT micro (released Apr 4, 2006) is said to support v5.
