View Full Version : Program to Resize Images?

I need a program that can resize a 22000px x 22000px JPEG image at 72dpi to about 6800px x 6800px at 400dpi. I've done it with photoshop and it worked, but Photoshop is broken right now so I can't use that. I've tried GIMP, but it just eats 1.5GB of memory and can't even open the image. I need something that will work on a Pentium-M 1.6GHz with 1GB RAM.

bump for this program. I have used it a few times and it is really easy to use. MS has some nice little programs for free if you look around.

It doesn't let me set the resolution, defaults to 72dpi. Thanks for the suggestion.

irfanview?

It won't open the file, says it can't allocate enough memory. Thanks for the suggestion.

I use photoshop. Google's Picasa is free (i'm pretty sure), but I've never used it. But it might be a worth a try.

I think you may have to temporarly increase your swap size so there's enough "memory"
