Minutes PLUS

Minutes PLUS is a powerful tool to monitor and estimate phone usage and provide useful calling pattern statistics. Users familiar with the previous version called Minute Counter will recognize some features, but Minutes PLUS has so much more!

Below are some example data screens. These are just examples, as you can now fully CUSTOMIZE the way Minutes PLUS shows data!

An overview of the major features (IMPORTANT! Treo users note the features that are only available on Kyocera phones):

* Completely configurable to match most carriers' calling plans
* User definable screens with dozens of fields of calculated data available to put in any arrangement you like.
* Track minutes used and overage costs for Peak, OffPeak, Weekend, Data, Roaming, and Mobile to Mobile (single number or group).
* Track high speed "3G" data if your carrier counts this type of data as Minutes. (Kyocera 7135 ONLY)
* Track SMS (Text Messages), both incoming and outgoing. (Kyocera phones ONLY)
* Exclude calls to "free" numbers.
* Estimate period-end usage and costs.
* Accounts for Holidays, can add common US and Canadian holidays automatically.
* Can handle carriers that "split" calls between peak and off-peak.
* Calculate calling statistics for any number of individual phone numbers or Address Book categories, export the results.
* Set up Alarms to alert you when you are getting close to your category limits (Kyocera only).
* Adjustments screen to account for other phones' usage in multi-phone share plans and other discrepancies
* Beam your minutes for any period to other Smartphone users' shared adjustments. This way, 2 or more Palm phones on a shared minutes plan can keep a more accurate tally of the entire plan's usage.
* View any previous period's data as far back as the call history has records.
* Show statistics for all the call history data stored on the device.
* Export any period's call history into ASCII format suitable for importing into desktop applications. Uses Memo application records for the transfer of this data to the desktop.
* Override the maximum number call records kept beyond what the Call History application allows.
* Configurable colors and fonts (where supported by hardware).
* Imports preferences and data from Minute Counter, if installed.

Don't know what Minute Counter is though... but Minutes PLUS allows you to see how many minutes you have left on your plan in the month. You just input in your plan parameters:

ie. 200 base minutes, free evenings/weekends starting at 6pm, etc

and it checks your call history and tabulates how many minutes you have left on your plan. Best app for my old Treo and the only reason I miss it.

;)

Enjoy!

pocket tunes - plays mp3,wma. real player doesn't play mp3's
-view your songs from folders. real player mashes everything into one big list, even if you've sorted them into folders.
pocket tunes can amplify the volume of your player, but not so important b/c even real player is loud enough

Card Export II. use your palm as a card reader. makes your expansion card a virtual drive. ie turn your palm into a flash drive. a must have.

currently i use xlauncher. a launcher-type "OS" much better than the default organizer. there are other great launchers out there, but i xlauncher is good enough for me, if you want something that you can tweak to the max, try zlauncher.

filez-"windows explorer" file manager.

MMplayer - plays movies, not sure what file type, but also consider pocket dvd studio/wizard.

get a dictionary for your palm.

Tealmaster - a tweak software. with proper third party tweaks you can assign various tweaks.

pawcalc - scientific calculator

palm has lots of softwares out there. these are just a few that you should really try!

TCPMP: All-in-one video player for PALM

http://tcpmp.corecodec.org/about

TCPMP is a much better video player program than MMMPlayer.
With MPlayer you had to convert your movies and it was difficult getting the right settings for each movie. With TCPMP you can drag your divx movies from your computer to your SD and play them straight off your Treo! No need for conversion!

The equivalent minute tracker in Windows Mobile is called ... Phone Dashboard. But that software is not free.
