Hi,

Thanks very much!

I have the continuious ink system foir my R200, I'm looking for one for my r220
as well!

I wish the source carried it, it's make my life so much easier!

The math on the refills doesn't work out, at 10 bucks a colour i can just rebuy the ink system again for refills and get 70 ml instead of the 30ml the ink refills offer from the source.

Has anyone come across a continuous ink supply system for HP Printers and Plotters ?

Anybody have any comments on this setup? I have an R200 and was just about to get my cartridges refilled by Island Inkjet, but it was going to cost $13/black and $10/each colour.. frig that's expensive!

This looks like a much better value, is the quality good?

Quality is excellent on the CIS systems.

Go ahead and get it, be sure to do the waste ink mod to your printer while your at it.

I got this system for my R200 a couple months ago. All seemed well, but I began to notice the large outer tanks seemed to be going down pretty fast. I had installed the system in a virgin printer that had never seen Epson Carts, and had installed the Waste-Ink Tank mod, and I'm glad I did. The other day, I noticed the Light Magenta tank was near empty. Apparently, it had just siphoned straight through the printer and into the waste-ink bottle.

It might just be the high altitude here that made this occur, but I would strongly suggest you do the waste-ink mod before installing this system.

I could probably have solved this by having the exterior tanks a little bit lower than the printer, and through trial and error have found the correct placement (clearly, having them level with the printer up here in Calgary led to a slow, continuous flow), but I didn't have time and took the system out.

I think I'll try swapping the exterior tanks for the 2-Stage tanks from an old JLWSales kit I have lying around and see if that can keep an equal pressure and stop the siphon effect.

Keep an eye on your exterior tank levels; mark them with a piece of tape, or something. If you notice them dropping suspiciously fast, or like me, have a tank drain out, try lowering the tank level to slightly below the printer.

I really like the system, and the price-point is very good, just beware of the siphon effect.
