Weekend Family Retreat Approx $200

I'm looking to get a weekend (1 or 2 night) retreat somewhere in the GVR for a friend as a gift for him and his family (2 elementary-aged kids, him, and his wife). I was thinking maybe Whistler or Harrison Hot Springs, but does anyone know where to find a gift certificate or some kind of package deal for around $200?

Suggestions for other locations are also appreciated!

You might want to check out two options:

1. Radio Shoppers Network (www.rsndeals.com) has gift certificates for places like Ucluelet, Victoria, White Rock, Victoria etc. The selection varies from week to week. The first night is REALLY cheap with the gift certificate . . . it's up to you if you want to book a second night for a reduced rate.

2. One of the resort hotels at Harrison Hot Springs actually lists weekend getaways and one-night stays on eBay! You might want to take a peek.
