In first year I roomed with a Korean guy. One time I had a gander at his citizenship card. Under "Eye Colour" it said Black.

Until then, I didn't know there were people with "black" eyes.

I figure East Asian naturalized citizens are the majority here. So on your citizenship cards, what does it say? And what colour eyes do East Asians really have?

So East Asians have pitch black eyes? I always thought light eyes were an evolutionary adaptation to the glare of the sun reflecting off snow, so I figured natural selection would induce Mongoloids to develop light eyes. Guess not.

Mace you're breaking from your pattern...you forgot to assert that 'black-eyed' people are discriminated against

Maybe they do. It's a simple question... surprised no Asians want to answer. :cheesygri

My citizenship card says black even though mine are brown. It's possible it's just a bad translation thing because in chinese the word for "black" is the same word as "dark." Also, there's no proper chinese word for brown - the colour brown is described in chinese as "coffee colour."

I don't know about East Asians but my eyes are black and so is my hair, it doesn't make sense to me that people call it brown, I figured they're all color blind until I read your post.

East Asians? Should be Dark Brown .. her's must be VERY dark brown

im pretty sure theres no such thing as black eyes.. just dark brown.

Still, whats the problem with that? very dark brown is considered black. Its not like black people are actually pitch black.

Trust me, my gf eyes are black. Barely disguinshable between her eye and iris.

Isn't it kind of creepy staring at her eyes then?
