Are there any places in Vancouver where I can give them a digital file to print pages around 27 inches by 95 inches? I can provide the files in a Word format or in PDF files. It will be mostly black text with some colour graphics.
I do not need nice glossy surfaces, but being water-resistant would be good.
I will need the prints within two to three days of my submission/order.
Thanks in advance!
P.S. What is the "engineering printing" service at Staples?

Call a reproduction company, like TR Trades, Pac Blue or Dominion Blue. Companies that produce large repros for architects, engineers, graphic designers and such. My company uses TR Trades for our presentation stuff... printed out as wide as 48", and as ong as you want I believe. Tell them you want it water resistant, and they'll suggest stuff. Like lamination.
Be prepared to pay a few bucks per square foot though, especially since you don't have an account with them.

Thank you for the advice. I will need around 60 square feet... It looks like the cost will be over $100 at "a few bucks per square foot"... (I do have a licensed business though.)
Less expensive alternatives? It does not need to be photographic quality. Mostly black and white with spot colour.

Oh, not photographic? Call them up still, and ask for a quote. It could be a lot cheaper than I said. They have a few different options.

Thank you. I will call them this week. (Probably closed on Easter Monday.)

I remember seeing an advertisement in the London Drugs flyer, but the stuff coming out from the printer seemed like a photograph or a poster... And the prices for photographs at London Drugs are already too high. Thanks for the suggestion though.
What is the "engineering printing" that Staples lists at the top-left corner of the second page here:

The price is $0.79 per feet, which suggests to me that it is about large-format prints. Blueprints?
I did a search on Google but found nothing relevant.

It must be blueprints. Probably B&W on plain white bond, with no finishing.

I guess I can print some of my stuff in black and white. And perhaps take advantage of the $0.29 colour prints deal at Office Depot for the colour diagrams.
Too bad I am cheap. :D
