Here is a series of photos (http://cellar.org/showthread.php?%20s=b5a22752534694c7efa8f42f6db979 f5&t=10491) of a test of the new fire retardant (sorry, poedua) firefighting foam in a giant aircraft hangar at Ellsworth Air Force Base in the States.

Things go horribly wrong.

For those who are having trouble with the original link (BTW, still works fine for me) - here is another link (http://www.strategypage.com/gallery/articles/military_photos_20064611181.asp) with the pictures, though unannotated and more clicking required.

Lol, hope the guy that installed that system isn't still around, or that at least they didn't work on any military aircraft :)

Really?

It looked like it went pretty well too me... When you get a fire in a hangar, you're going to want it flooded with fire retardant foam. Perhaps there was a little bit too much, but that's always better than a little bit too little.
