As per the title, does anyone have any experience with a Godaddy internet address? I'm thinking of finally doing a site and signing up with them. Anything good or bad I should know about them?

About the same for me too. Never had a problem with them yet. Never had hosting from them though. :S Also check hot deals, i posted a deal on how to save a few bucks if you're registering a new domain.

GoDaddy is the largest registrar according to http://www.webhosting.info/registrars/top-registrars/global/

Cool, thanks guys. I just picked up a domain today and it seems ok. I just need to build the site and find a good host. My uncle is hosting from his home servers so I'll probably do it through him, but we'll see. Anyways, thanks!

They have a convenient domain management interface. Their prices are not bad, and even better if you use one of the many discount codes you can find here at redflagdeals.
They bombard you with promotional offers during the domain registration process, but you can safely ignore it all.
They have been accused of dropping people's domains without warning on receipt of an unfounded complaint, but claimed afterwards that it was all just a misunderstanding after it was widely publicized. Keep an eye on them!
Personally the only problem I've had with them was having to deal with their pig-headed and unhelpful support staff - in other words not much different than technical support staff you'll find anywhere. :cheesygri
