I upgraded to 10Mbit cable instead of staying on DSL. Turns out to be closer to 11Mbit though.

Didn't realize Sympaitco had plans to upgrade. I was dancing for joy when they upgraded from 1.5 to 3Mbit. 5Mbit is a vast improvement. Although with the recent bandwidth shortage fiasco, they should probably address that first.

Is this across the board? *****. This means I'll have to cancel newsgroups. I did over 300GB last month on a 3mbit line. 5Mbit... oh the possibilities.

Hell same thing here.
Subscribed to 4mb line.
Worked fine for 3 weeks or so.
After that dropped to .2mb
Called them up they ware like okay we will look it up and call you back when repairs are done.
5 days after nothing called them again and they still duno what is going on. So the downsized my connection to different system ore some thing. It did give some progress but still slow about 1.2mb
So they did some work and it got to 3mb.
I was okay i will just downsize to slower 3megs what is cheaper.
2 days ago that one yet again dropped to 0.4mb
Shame on Bell and just to think i am working for them :(
and i am 10 min from down town core

Isn't there an ongoing issue with limited bandwidth? There is a long thread over at DSLReports about slowdowns in the evenings and weekends; presumably from over-usage.
Well, as long as Ontario still has unlimited, I don't care. Leech away.

Downtown Toronto. IT's not isolated to my area. There are people reporting from all across the GTA and some in boonie land.

They got real problems. Looking at my bandwith usage. I know I did 120gigs total this month, and it's saying I only did 5 gigs total. Aint complainin though.

I think i m one of those uilty.
I dodownload alots :(
Well video training and sample videos eat up lots of space.
Just think 10 sec video at 50 megs a sec ;)
And + 3h video on keying in shake.
Tottal 3.5Gb of data
And that will just keep me occupied one evening.
