Using stock OEM's
-average performance
-a little bit more
-but lasts longer then performance stuff
Wasn't really looking for God like stopping power so i decided to go with OEM, plus i'm planning to sell the car in the near future when the new Si becomes more refined.
My buddy just changed over to Brembo front rotors w/ axxis pads, price was about $170 taxin - rotors 50 each, pads were like 55 i think. The place was around HWY 7/Kennedy north west plaza...called Metro Auto or something or another. (along those lines) Oh yeah this was on his integra.

If you want less brake dust, Mintex, axxis, PBR, Hawking, NJA, EBC...etc are all good, I perfer Mintex personally. Mintex have softer feel compare to others and is almost dust free.

Depends on how you drive, since you say it's a honda, stick with OEM pads.
There will be little benefit going with Axxis ultimates and may actually hurt performance, at most the Axxis D+. Since im assuming you drive normally (it's a civic, not a sports car) OEM pads will work best, of course they will dust, Ultimates dust quite a bit also, just in a silverish color so it's not as apparent on OEM wheels of simiar color. Dusting is a compromise, if you want to stop quick, it will dust alot. Also, OEM pads are rated for low operating temperatues where almost all panic braking conditions are done when the rotors are still cold (ie. <~250degF). The Ultmiates have a high operating temp while you will rarely see when driving to and from home/school/work. Aftermarket pads aren't designed specifically for each car's characteristics, while car manufactures spend millions engineering compounds to meet strict standards, aftermarket pads DO NOT.
If you are really set of getting non-OEM pads, do a little research and try to find 'speed vs friction vs temperature' graphs on each pad you are considering. Although most of them are closely gaurded secrets, there are some avaliable on the net.

You're better off going OEM on HOnda. Their quality is not bad at all. However if you still want to try something different what about Bembro? (I beleive that's how you spell it. Used on Porches!!!!)

I see that the TireRack has Powerslot rotors on sale, but they don't ship to Canada.
Anyone in the GTA sell Powerslots?

I'm currently using Monroe's..
I installed them myself probably 1.5yrs ago (I think just after they came out). They're alright, fine brakes. Though I would consider them budget (value) brakes, primarily for commuting or Sunday drivers. I have noticed quite a bit of brake dust, but I wash my vehicle quite often so it's not an issue for me.
Considering how long brakes last (or should), I doubt I will buy Monroe's again.. but I just wanted to say I think they're fine for normal drivers with standard braking needs. If you're an aggressive driver, Monroe's aren't for you.

So based on this thread, I may go for the Honda OEMs even though the Monroe's are on sale at CT.
Now, should I just by them from a Honda dealer or is there any cheaper way to get them?
Thanks!

I checked the site, but they weren't too forthcoming about location, I don't usually trust a site that won't give you their mailing address and phone number.

Forgot to mention they were OE blanks & axxis semi-metallics and thats just for the fronts; apparently so-far-so-good.
If your planning to go Honda OEM expect to pay around 220-250 taxes-in....i'm afraid i don't know how to get cheap OEM, I believe the only way is knowing someone that can give you employee discount.
Honda OEM ain't that bad, Nissin sources their brake stuff.
