hi guys, i'm thinking of getting a car and i'm thinking of taking over a lease. what do i have to be aware of?
i've been offered a deal, about 400 tax in per month for a 2004 rsx.
shes gonna give me $500 for taking the lease, plus the transfer fees. 23 months remaining. the car is at 34k right now up to 96k.

and another thing, what kinda credit do i need to get approved? if i have bad credit if i get a cosigner would that get me approved? thank you everyone!

Lease takeovers can be thorny. Basically the dealer can get you on a couple of items, excess mileage and bad wear and tear. Check the car thoroughly especially for body/interior damage.

In addition to leasebusters, also check out www.aadaleaseexchangenetwork.com

Make sure you see a copy of all of the service/maintenance records on the car BEFORE signing over anything. You would be surprised how neglectful some people are plus the vendor can hold that against you when it comes time to give the vehicle back.

Make sure you see the car in the daytime for dings/scratches and tire wear and tear. Before you give the car back after the lease, you will be liable for any of those deficiencies.

Check if there were any accidents on it through the Ministry of Transportation or any recalls on it from the vensor. User opinions of the car online can help as well as the insurance required on it beforehand.

It's not a matter of easier.

They just wanted to know how you are going to come up with the remaining $9,000 on the lease plus insurance and maintenance. If you have a job great. If you are unemployed, then you will need some convincing to do.
